I realized I wanted to be a music teacher after having such wonderful private tutors for viola growing up. As a public high school student trying to balance 4 music classes on top of my regular studies, I realized there may be a better approach to education that suited my individual passions and needs. I transferred from Woodbridge High School to Inspire Charter Schools to pursue my passion of music. There I realized the merit of individualized education as I was able to focus on my studies viola, solo marimba, vibraphone, and voice.
While finishing up my high school with Inspire, I taught a percussion class for ages 4-7 at the Crown Homeschool Community Co-op. I also was principal violist of the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra for 3 years. I graduated from the Inspire Charter School program in 2018. I attended Saddleback College and earned my AA degree in Music Performance under the guidance of Dr. Georgios Kouritas. I also interned under Dr. Mark Alpizar, the director of the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra at the time. I'm close to earning my BA in music education. In the meantime, I am a freelance character design artist for indie video games and digital avatars and Assistant Teacher in the WonderSpirit Program!
