At Imagine Achievement, our program is deeply rooted in fostering independent thinkers, igniting life-long curiosity, and promoting personal growth. Through hands-on, project-based learning, creative unit studies, and play-based experiences, we nurture the whole child—supporting both academic development and emotional well-being within our co-op structure.
Our approach is research-backed, encouraging children to explore their interests, build confidence, and connect deeply with themselves and their communities. We aim to break away from conventional education norms that often leave kids behind, aligning with the principles of unschooling to allow for a more personalized educational journey.
The 5-hour drop-off (or stay!) days, from 10 am to 3 pm, provide a variety of hands-on life skill and social skill opportunities embedded in an eclectic and flexible learning environment. This includes both outdoor nature-based and indoor classroom learning, with plenty of novel opportunities to keep kids excited about learning, promote brain growth, and create lasting memories through the exploration of real-world experiences.
Need a longer or shorter day? No problem! We understand that every family has a unique schedule, and we accommodate the "Early Birdies" from 7 to 10 am, the half-day families from 10 am to 12:30 pm, and the "Night Owls" from 3 to 6 pm. This flexibility makes it easy to work around necessary services like Speech, OT, and ABA, ensuring every child’s needs are met.
The curriculum is developed to weave together many subjects in chronological order, covering information from the start of known history through the present. Main subjects include Science, Social Studies, Social Skills, Heart Skills, and Life Skills, with English and Math integrated throughout projects and through board and card games, which we refer to as 'game school.' Many more topics and themes are involved to keep interest in learning high! Samples of the topics and weekly schedule can be found in the tabs sections above.
Due to the blended nature of this co-op program, it is advisable for families to continue some academic support at home for English and Math; however, tutoring and coaching are available for families who would like more assistance with academics. We do not require homework, unnecessary testing, grades, or busywork, but if requested, we can tailor anything to the benefit of your child.
We do not offer online classes. We have clear definitions surrounding what an educator's role is and what the family is responsible for politically, morally, and otherwise in raising their children with their chosen belief systems. We are here to share about differences where appropriate and teach how to think, but not what to think. The golden rule is followed by students and teachers, treating others how we wish to be treated, with fairness and respect. Bullying will not be tolerated, and teachers are expected to be within earshot and eyesight of students at all times. Our student-to-teacher ratio is typically 1-2 teachers to 8-10 kids, depending upon need and age. We also have video surveillance for an added layer of safety.
