If you dare to dream, your dreams just might come true! This is why I've named my company Imagine Achievement. What you believe, you become...when you work at it.
My enrichment program is specifically designed to create a love of learning, supporting students of all ages and abilities to become adults capable of holding onto that spirit of wonder. Lifelong learning is not only necessary for the future career success of our children in a rapidly evolving world, but it’s also essential for maintaining well-being and overall health while equipping them with creative problem-solving abilities throughout life.
In college, I studied a wide array of social sciences, received my B.A. in human development with honors, and went on to get my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I worked full time through college and collected a fantastic portfolio of experiences that inform my teaching every day. My training in Educational Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Marriage & Family Therapy, and 11 years of homeschooling allow me to create a unique, whole-child, developmentally supportive program. This program is both academic and backed with brain-based research, while also appearing as a flexible, creative, spontaneous, play-based community.
I have a passion for life and learning, and I share that with my students and co-teachers every day. I try to always model the golden rule and lead with love in everything I do. I respect children's personhood, and they, in turn, trust and respect me back. We are raising people, not just detached brains functioning as computers, where the expectation would be black & white—data in and data out. We are full humans operating in grays and all of the colors of the rainbow, which is messy and glorious—this human existence, if we make it so.
